Masjid Faizul Islam

Our History

The inception of the centre dates back to the 1960s, with the advent of early Muslim emigrants from South Asia who preserving their religious identity and values set the foundations for a Masjid and Madrassa on Bevington Road in Aston.

This was one of the first handful of Masjids in Birmingham at the time. Over the years, with the growth of the Muslim community, the Masjid and Madrassa has also expanded and grown, initially transitioning from Bevington Road to 330 Witton Road and then in the year 2000 moving next door to the purpose build Masjid, on the 1-8 The Broadway. This expansion was achieved by the generous donations of the community it self.

The Masjid and Madrassa, is situated in the heart of Aston, also serves the surrounding area and provides all essential services required for the multi-cultural Muslim community, including but not limited to: Dawah & Tabligh; Madrassa Supplementary school with a specialised Hifdh Faculty; Youth engagement; Funeral & Bereavement Support Services; Nikah Matrimonial Services; Welfare Support both local and global.

We are striving to make Masjid  Faizul Islam an integral destination for the local community of Aston.
